day one hundred thirty two

The only photos I took today were of my pretty breakfast.
I went out on my bike shortly after and ended up falling and twisting my ankle :(
so most of my day has been spent moping around because I am a wimp.

Thanks for this photo, Wesley.

day one hundred twenty nine

Today was one of those mondays, you know? The ones where it's just annoying in all the silliest of ways. Like how you don't have enough frozen banana for your smoothie, and Instagram won't work, and your chain falls off your bike, and there's bugs flying around in your face all the time,
oh and then there's this:

I was outside enjoying the sunshine, and all of a sudden a bee whizzes by me and I jump, accidentally throwing my camera to the concrete in the process. Life switched to slow motion for a second as I watched it bounce across the ground. Scariest moment ever! Okay, maybe that's a bit dramatic, forgive me.
Anyway, thankfully there was a filter on the lens and that was the only part that broke. But I'm never taking photos without using a camera strap ever again. Yikes.

Eh, Mondays.

At least the weather was beautiful (75 and sunny!)
and this cute little lady is back from vacation : )

day one hundred twenty eight

spring. (sprng) verb. to move suddenly forward or upward; to grow as a plant.

day one hundred twenty seven

This afternoon my sweet friend Sadie invited me to join her on a photo shoot. Sadie is an amazing photographer and artist, and has been so encouraging to me with my photography. It was fun to tag along and see how someone else takes photos, and the girl she was photographing ended up being one of my first friends from when I was little. fun fun.
definitely take a look at Sadie's website... sadieculb.com

Later, my family and I went to see a Ben Rector concert in Charlotte and it was wonderful. This was the first time I'd used a nice camera at a concert, so fun. Usually I get scared to bring it, but I've been missing out :) It took some self control to put the camera down and enjoy the show with my eyes and not my lens the whole time.
PS Hey Ben, you're pretty cool. Come back soon. I like you.

day one hundred twenty six // homemade pizza night

Homemade pizza night is a favorite at our house : )
Tonight we made margherita, arugula fig + goat cheese, BLT, and cheese with red sauce.
Honey to dip the crust is a wonderful idea, thank you Pure Pizza.
