day sixty one

Something different than my normal style. I decided to play around with double exposure mode.
Woo.
Super windy and eerie looking day outside. Spent a long time going through my iTunes and finding the songs that I like now, but mostly what I have was purchased at age twelve (disney star music galore. yay.) And on that note, if anyone is reading this and has any new music suggestions for me I would happily accept. Even though I have a feeling that I'm talking to an empty room here?

day fifty nine + sixty

FIFTY NINE

whoops.

SIXTY

carrot, orange, grapefruit, apple, lemon deliciousness

Feeling like I've been too lazy with my last few days of photos.
I'll try to be better from now on.

day fifty six

Went outside and took photos until I had frozen toes.

I've always had a fascination with the way you can see your breath in the cold, and I've had that top photo in my head for a long, long time, but have never been able to create it.
Not cold enough, or I just couldn't get it. So I took advantage of the weather today.
It took many tries to get this, over 100 photos and only about 3 you can actually see my breath, and it still took some photoshop work to make it really noticeable. But I'm happy with it.
Turning an idea in my head into a physical, real, shareable thing is always rewarding.

day fifty five

sometimes I start photographing something and I get excited and before I know it it's been an hour and I have over 70 photos of flour and my camera is covered in it

day fifty two

Tonight I went out for breakfast for dinner with some lovely people.
Spending time with these friends is always wonderful. Even though we don't see each other much now, with two of the girls away at college, we always can just pick up where we left off. Like we were never apart at all. I love and cherish these friendships, God knew what he was doing when he gave my parents the idea to make me go to a youth group at a church that we didn't attend, where I met these friends. The SAWAMMAs as we affectionately call ourselves. I love you all dearly!

It was a great night full of laughter (But also of worry, when one of the girls was still not there after nearly two hours, not answering her phone. We were all so nervous but were trying to take it lightly, by coming up with different funny scenarios she could be in. She finally got there and told us that her GPS took her to a whole different town. Don't trust those things, folks.)

PS we missed you, Angela.

please excuse the silly iPhone photo. I stupidly forgot my camera's battery at home so my phone was my only camera option. BUT a photo is a photo, so it counts :)

day fifty one

I haven't been seeing these lovely people near as much as I would like to lately!
My youth group. Love 'em.

day fifty

The only photos I took today were these when I was making breakfast. But you should make this french toast recipe.

Best ever.
Don't skip the bananas!

day forty nine

Breaking news: this little person can now wear pigtails!

I wish the last photo were in focus but it kills me anyway.

So stinking cute.

day forty eight

Today began with rain, rain, rain, and a hopeful forecast of heavy snow in the evening.

Queue the dozens of excited (or annoyed) Facebook statuses and Instagram photos.
But I shouldn't be the one talking. I Instagrammed it.

The snow kept us waiting until about 9:30 and then only lasted for about an hour, and half an inch on the ground at the most. I enjoyed it while it lasted (snowflakes on my tongue, built a tiny snowman, threw a snowball) and I'm thankful that I got to see snow this year, the chances were looking pretty slim.

Snow is something I adore and wish I could see more of. Recently we have gotten only a couple days a year with snow, and even then it's just barely any. I'm always happy to see the little bitty glorious flurries but so, so, so much wish that more would fall, or that I could call someplace snowier home. BUT, until then, I will happily accept my one snowy night.
and maybe even a few more inches will come this year. We shall see.
